web design examples
not just as a site, the restlesseye would not exist at all if it were not for web…

at the time of writing (010404), this site had only just gone live, but i would not be able to take advantage of globalisation and my current stateless situation, were it not for the simple ability to be always connected, all of the time.
however… web design as a craft in the contemporary market annoys me.

as i find that most organisations, or content authors, do not use it to it’s full advantage.

as a result, it comes off little better than their business card. even if that card has polished walnut panelled interface…

blogging, and how the current US election has “discovered” the tool, is getting closer to what i believe is the true potential of the web in it’s current technological form…

another big round of applause to the people behind the wikipedia
the web can, and should be, be a harmony of intellect, education and intercommunication.

only after these features have been implemented should it be a further expression of what should be self evident brand values, but also a vital tool used to illustrate the conceptual framework that makes up an organisation or company…

how they operate… how they communicate and what you might benefit from knowing about them…
i prefer to design sites that rely on a foundation of cms and html… information delivery with semantic cross referencing, hopefully supplying a useful, interrelated and a contextual image of the information that is communicated to whichever audience is interested…
